Ration Distribution for the Blind near Radha Krishna Mandir Pune

At Serveseed, we believe that every act of kindness can bring hope and dignity to those in need. On a recent sunny afternoon, our team had the privilege of organising a special ration distribution drive for the visually impaired community near Radha Krishna Mandir, located close to Bhakti Shakti Chowk in Nigdi Pune Maharashtra.

In this serene setting, with the sacred temple as a backdrop, we gathered to share essential food supplies with these individuals, ensuring they and their families have the nourishment they deserve. The heartfelt gratitude from the recipients reminded us why we do what we do—to make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable.

The event brought together volunteers, local supporters, and community members, all united by the common goal of service. We provided ration kits filled with essential items, such as rice, wheat, pulses, oil, and other necessary goods, to support their daily needs.

This experience was humbling and further strengthened our resolve to continue supporting the underprivileged sections of society. At Serveseed, we are committed to bringing care, support, and hope to all, especially those often overlooked, like the visually impaired.

We look forward to organizing more such drives in the future to reach as many individuals in need as possible. Together, we can continue making a difference, one step at a time.

The Silent Struggles We Don’t See: Distributing Ration to the Blind at Shivajinagar Station

On a humid afternoon in the heart of Pune, as the world moved on in its busy rush, we at Serveseed Foundation stood witness to a different kind of quiet strength—a strength that is often unnoticed, unspoken, and unseen.

At the Shivajinagar Railway Station, dozens of visually impaired individuals waited patiently. Their faces told stories of silent battles fought daily in the dark—a darkness not just of sight, but of neglect. As people hurried past them, barely offering a glance, it was easy to overlook their presence, their need, their lives.

For those who can see, it’s almost impossible to comprehend what it means to navigate the world without sight. The colors of the world, the faces of loved ones, even the simplest everyday tasks, are a distant dream. And in the midst of this daily challenge, hunger remains a relentless, constant companion.

As we handed out ration packets to each person, we were met not with words of gratitude, but with soft, warm touches. Their hands, searching, feeling the weight of the packet, filled with the simple relief of knowing they wouldn’t sleep hungry that night. Each touch told us more than words ever could. It was a reminder that for them, survival was about trusting the kindness of strangers, relying on the hope that someone would care enough to help them through yet another day.

The scene was heart-wrenching: the quiet shuffle of feet, the gentle murmur of thanks whispered under their breath, the way their hands searched the air for direction, for assistance, for something more than just food. It wasn’t just the physical act of giving; it was about offering dignity, respect, and a sense of belonging in a world that too often overlooks them.

At that moment, it became crystal clear. These individuals do not want pity—they want to be seen, truly seen, in a way that goes beyond their disability. We understood that day that giving them a ration packet wasn’t just about food; it was about acknowledging their presence, their humanity, their resilience.

As the sun set, casting long shadows on the platform, we left Shivajinagar Station with heavy hearts and a renewed purpose. We realized that our work was far from over. The blind, the marginalized, and the forgotten still need us—not just for food, but for a world where their struggles are acknowledged, and their existence isn’t ignored.

At Serveseed, we continue this journey, knowing that while we might not change the entire world, we can certainly make a difference in theirs.
